Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

Four multi-stemmed Cypress trees approximately 10m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden adjacent to the boundary with 8 Woodhall Drive.  The trees are too tall.

Description of Approved Works

Remove and the stumps ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removals of the above, three replacement trees are to be planted in convenient locations of the rear garden and below are four alternative species for consideration:

Crataegus prunifolia       (Cockspur Thorn)

Arbutus unedo                (Strawberry tree)

Koelreuteria paniculata (Pride of India)

Paulownia tomentosa    (Foxglove tree)

The trees should be planted with a stem girth of between 16-18cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.

Lyonothamnus floribunus asplenifolius could also be considered.
