Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Holm Oak tree approximately 5m in height, situated adjacent to the front wall of the house, which is far too close.

T2.          A Turkey Oak tree approximately 18m in height, situated near the front left-hand corner of the house.  The tree is a little wide spreading.

T3.          A Horse Chestnut tree approximately 16m in height, situated on the front boundary to the left of the property.  The tree is a little dense and low growing.

T4.          A Cordyline Palm tree approximately 5m in height, situated against the left-hand flank wall of the property, which is far too close.

T5.          A Yew tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the right-hand side at the rear of the garage/out buildings.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T6.          A False Acacia tree approximately 12m in height, situated close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T2.          Lightly thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood and necessary shortening of long lateral branches encroaching towards the property.  The height, balance, and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T3.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, lifting low branches, and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T4.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T5.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary trimming back from the building.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T6.          Crown thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

Details of Replacement Required

None.  The garden is well stocked with mature trees.
