Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Bay tree approximately 3m in height, situated close to the house on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little out of shape.

T2.          A Cedar tree approximately 9m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is badly sited.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Reduce in height to approximately 1.5m and 2m and the side growth rounded off proportionally.

T2.          Remove and the stump either removed or poisoned.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of (T2) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Betula jacquemontii                       (Silver Birch)

Acer griseum                                      (Paperbark Maple)

Crataegus ‘Paul’s Scarlet’              (Crimson May tree)

The new tree should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2023 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
