Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of Tree ID 8285 above, replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Malus hupehensis            (Chinese Crab Apple)

 Mespilus germanica        (Medlar)

Cydonia oblonga               (Quince)

Other fruit trees are also planned to be planted to form a mini orchard.

The new tree should be planted during the October 2026 and March 2027 planting season with a stem girth of between 8-12cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2m.

Planting and Aftercare Specifications

To ensure the new tree thrives, it must be supported with a suitable stake to prevent "wind-rock" while the roots establish.  The tree will require regular watering during the first two growing seasons (ideally using a 75-litre capacity tree watering bag, refilled once or twice per week), specifically from April to September. Please note that if the tree dies or becomes diseased within five years of planting, it must be replaced with a new specimen of the same specification
