Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.       A Sycamore tree approximately 16m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the front garden.                The tree is a little dense and wide-spreading.

T2.       Two Lime trees approximately 12m in height, situated on the front boundary with Thurlow Park Road.  The                  trees are a little dense due to previous pollarding.

T3.       Four Lombardy Poplar trees approximately 22m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the                    rear garden.  The trees are very tall.

T4.       A Walnut tree approximately 12m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the       rear garden.  The tree is a little wide-spreading.

T5.       Two Purple Plum trees approximately 6m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear                        garden.  The trees are a little dense due to previous pollarding.

Description of Approved Works

T1.       Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary shortening of branches encroaching                  towards the house.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T2.       Re-pollard below previous pollarding points, including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.

T3.       Reduce in height by 30% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  Ivy is beginning to                dominate the trees and should be removed where possible.

T4.       Crown thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood and necessary shortening of long lateral branches to                form a more compact specimen.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T5.       Re-pollard just below previous pollarding points including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.
