Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Yew tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the left-hand side of the house.  The tree is a little low growing.

T2.          A Sycamore tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the boundary with the Golf Course.

T3.          A Mulberry tree approximately 8m in height, situated near the Golf Course side of the garden.

T4.          An Oak tree approximately 16m in height, situated on the boundary with the Golf Course.

T5.          A Horse Chestnut tree approximately 16m in height, situated in the centre of the rear garden.  The tree is a little low growing.

T6.          A Hoheria tree approximately 9m in height, situated centrally near the bottom of the rear garden.  The tree is dead.

T7.          A Laburnum tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the bottom boundary of with the cottage.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Low branches to be lifted to clear the roof and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T2.          Remove all dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T3.          Remove dead wood and necessary lifting of low branches.

T4.          Removal of all dead wood.

T5.          Removal of all dead wood and necessary lifting of low branches.

T6.          Remove and the roots grubbed out where possible.

T7.          Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

T6.          As a condition of the removal of (T6) above, a replacement tree should be planted in a suitable location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Ginkgo biloba                     (Maidenhair tree)

Pinus sylvestris                   (Scots Pine)

Liriodendron tulipifera         (Tulip tree)

T7.          As a condition of the removal of (T7) above, a replacement tree should be planted in a suitable location of the rear garden and the following specie is recommended:

Crataegus prunifolia            (Cockspur Thorn)
