Proposal:
Species and Location of Trees
Tree ID 7273 (T17 on AIA Report). An English Oak tree approximately 22m in height, situated lower down the rear garden at the end of the patio area. There is dead wood evident.
Tree ID 7276 (T2 on AIA Report). A Winter Flowering Cherry tree approximately 6m in height, situated in a border by the pavement in the front garden.
Tree ID 8050 (T1 on AIA Report). A Crab Apple tree approximately 4m in height, situated on the pavement boundary (by drive) in the front garden. The tree is dead and dangerous.
Tree ID 8051 (T3 on AIA Report). A Winter Flowering Cherry tree approximately 2m in height, situated at the front of the property on border with the pavement.
Tree ID 8066 (T13 on AIA Report as Horse Chestnut). An Eler tree approximately 3m in height, situated on the southern boundary at the base of the wall by new building works in the rear garden. The tree is a poor specimen.
Tree ID 8070 (T16 on AIA report). A Japanese Maple tree approximately 5m in height, situated in the rear garden at the end of patio area.
Description of Approved Works
Tree ID 7273 Remove dead wood.
Tree ID 7276 Crown lift on the property side to give level clearance of up to 3.5m.
Tree ID 8050 Remove as soon as possible.
Tree ID 8051 Remove.
Tree ID 8066 Remove.
Tree ID 8070 Crown lifting to a maximum of 2.5m above ground level on northern axis to facilitate works.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removals of Tree ID 8050 and Tree ID 8051 of above, two replacement trees should be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Malus baccata ‘Street Parade’ (Siberian Crab Apple with white flowers)
Prunus sargentii (Pink Flowering Cherry with Autumn colour)
Crataegus x lavalleei (Hybrid Cockspur Thorn)
As a condition of the removal of Tree ID 8066 above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the two alternative species for consideration:
Ginkgo biloba (Maidenhair tree)
Betula nigra (River Birch)
Replanting Specifications All replacement trees must be a "Selected Standard" size with a minimum main stem girth of 10–12cm (measured at 1.5m above ground level). The new trees are to be planted during the October 2026 and March 2027 planting season.
Aftercare The new trees must be planted, staked, and watered in accordance with BS 8545:2014. If any replacement tree dies or becomes diseased within five years of planting, it must be replaced with another tree of the same specification.
