Stradella Road, 16

Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Hawthorn tree approximately 6m in height, situated in the right-hand corner adjacent to Stradella Road.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T2.          A Purple Plum tree approximately 7.5m in height situated close to the rear right-hand corner of the house.  The tree is a little tall and out of shape.

T3.          Four Lime trees approximately 8m in height, situated on the bottom boundary of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Crown thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches over the pavement, and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T2.          Lightly thin by 10% including the removal of water shoots, and necessary re-shaping. The height may be reduced by some 1.5m, however, it is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T3.          Re-pollard just below the previous pruning points and side growth trimmed back to the trunks from overhanging the adjacent decking.
