Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.       A Sycamore tree approximately 18m in height, situated close to the house on the left-hand side boundary of                 the rear garden.  The tree is sited too close to the property.

T2.       A False Acacia tree approximately 10m in height, situated close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden                  towards the left side.  The tree is a little tall.

T3.       A Purple Plum tree approximately 6m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of            the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide-spreading.

Description of Approved Works

T1.       Remove and the stump ground out.

T2.       Reduce in height by 20%.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible and               to maintain a natural appearance.

T3.       Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, water shoots, and necessary re-shaping.  The basic                shape should be retained.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, two replacement trees are to be planted in a nearby location of the rear garden and below are the alternative species for consideration:

Albizzia julibrissin                   (Silk Tree)

Koelreuteria paniculata             (Pride of India)

Magnolia x soulangeana             (Deciduous Magnolia)

Cercis siliquastrum                   (Judas tree)

The tree should be planted with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.
