Species and Location of Trees

Tree ID 7440       A Silver Birch tree approximately 10m in height, situated in the front garden.  The entral stem of tree dead, equating to more than 60% of the canopy. Razor strop fungus present at multiple points on stem from approximately 5m above ground level.

Tree ID 7441       A Leyland Cypress tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the boundary with 7 Frank Dixon.  The tree has a sparse canopy.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 7440       Remove.  Sectional dismantle, stump grinding can be undertaken.

Tree ID 7441       Fell to ground level.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of Tree ID 7440 above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Davidia involucrata                                        (Handkerchief tree)

Gleditisa triacanthos ‘Ruby Lace’              (Ruby Lace Honey Locust)

Magnolia kobus                                              (Kobus magnolia)

Tree to be a minimum of “selected standard” in line with British Standard 3936-1 [Nursery Stock]. 10 -12cm Stem circumference and 3.0 – 3.5m in height.  The new tree should be planted by March 2027.

Tree ID 7441       No replacement required.
