Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Silver Maple tree approximately 12m in height, situated in amenity land adjacent to the road to the front of 7, 8 and 9 Linley Court.  The tree has significant dead wood in the upper crown.

T2.          A Rowan tree approximately 9m in height, situated next to (T1) above.  The tree is dead.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Removal of all dead wood and necessary re-shaping to form a more compact specimen.  The tree should be re-inspected in 12 months.

T2.          Remove together with the stump ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted close by and one of the following three alternative species is recommended for consideration:

Sorbus aria                          (Whitebeam)

Liquidambar styraciflua (Sweet Gum)

Aesculus x carnea             (Pink Chestnut)

The tree should be planted with a stem girth of between 16-18cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.  The tree should be planted during the November 2021 and March 2022 planting season.
