Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

Tree ID 7794       An Oak tree approximately 9.8m in height, situated in the rear garden.

Tree ID 7795       A Holly tree approximately 3.5m in height, situated in the rear garden.  The tree is dead.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 7794       Reduce crown by up to 1m back to closest growth point.   Perpetual licence - to maintain tree at newly reduced height approximately 8.5m. To be reviewed every 6 years. (next review in 2032).

Tree ID 7795       Fell to the ground, (stump grinding permitted).

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of Tree ID 7795 above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Amelanchier ‘Ballerina’                                (Serviceberry)

Crataegus x prunifolia ‘Splendens’ –         (Cherry Leaf Hawthorn)

Prunus ‘Cheals Weeping’                             (Weeping Cherry)

The new tree is to be planted by March 2027.  Tree to be procured in line with BS3936 [1992] – ‘standard’ (8-10cm stem circumference).
