Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

An Indian Bean tree (Catalpa) approximately 6m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side of the front driveway.  The tree is sited too close to the house and is causing damage to the driveway and various utilities.

Description of Approved Works

Remove and the roots grubbed out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Amelanchier lamarckii   (Snowy Mespilus)

Sorbus aucuparia            (Rowan)

Halesia carolina               (Snowdrop tree)

The tree should be planted this planting season between November 2020 and March 2021 with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m
