Species and Location of Trees

Tree ID 7362      A variegated Holly tree approximately 4m in height, situated on the right-hand side of the rear garden.  The tree requires re-shaping.

 Tree ID 7363      A Chanticleer Pear tree approximately 7m in height, situated on the left-hand side of the rear garden.  There is dense ivy cover throughout the crown.

 Tree ID 8251      A Yew tree approximately 7m in height, situated on the far right-hand side of the rear garden.  The tree requires re-shaping.

 Tree ID 8252      A Hawthorn tree approximately 4m in height, situated in the far left-hand corner of the rear garden.  The tree is in poor form.

 Tree ID 8253      A Pear tree approximately 6m in height, situated central towards the end of the rear garden.  The tree is leaning with damage on the main Stem.

Description of Approved Works

 Tree ID 7362      Reduce height by 1m to suitable growth points, re-shaping as necessary.

 Tree ID 7363      Ivy and dead wood to be removed.  The crown can be lightly reduced by up to a maximum of 0.5m as required to produce a natural form.

 Tree ID 8251      Crown to be lightly trimmed to improve shape and balance by reducing up to 0.5m as required to maintain a natural form.

 Tree ID 8252      Remove.

 Tree ID 8253      Remove.

3.                 Details of Replacement Required

 As a condition of the removal of the above Tree ID:8252 and Tree ID 8253, replacement trees are to be planted in a convenient location in the rear garden, below are the trees agreed to be planted:

             Tree ID 8252      Crataegus monogyna, (Hawthorn) minimum stem girth 8-10cm

             Tree ID 8253      Cydonia oblonga, (Quince) minimum stem girth 8-10cm

             The new trees should be planted during the October 2026 and March 2027 planting season with a stem girth of between 8-10cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2m.

           To ensure the new tree thrives, it must be supported with a suitable stake to prevent "wind-rock" while the roots establish.  The tree will require regular watering during the first two growing seasons (ideally using a 75-litre capacity tree watering bag), specifically from April to September. Please note that if the tree dies or becomes diseased within five years of planting, it must be replaced with a new specimen of the same specification.
