Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

Tree ID 7256      A Bay tree approximately 3m in height, situated in the rear garden very close to the building wall.  The tree is growing rapidly with very close proximity to the house wall (40cm).

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 7256      Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

 Euonymus europaeus ‘Red Cascade’      (Spindle Tree variety with arching habit and rich autumn colour)

Amelanchier arborea ‘Robin Hill’            (Serviceberry)

Acer Griseum                                              (Paper Barked Maple)

 

The new tree should be planted during the October 2026 and March 2027 planting season with a minimum stem girth of between 8-10cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 1.5m. A slow-release watering bag is recommended to help successful establishment, especially in the first year.
