Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T2.          Stems to be crown thinned by 15% including the removal of dead wood and necessary lifting of low branches.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  One small stem at the upper end of the group may be removed by severing at the base.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T3.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and epicormic growth, and necessary shortening of long lateral branches in order to reduce the weight at branch extremities.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T4.          Removal of dead wood only.

T5.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
