Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

Two Castlewellan Cypress trees on the left-hand side, and one Cypress tree on the right-hand side, approximately 7.5m in height and situated on the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  The trees are a little too dominating in a small rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

Remove and the roots grubbed out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removals of the above, three replacement trees are to be planted in a convenient locations of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Crataegus prunifolia        (Cockspur Thorn)

Betula jacquemontii       (Silver Birch)

Sorbus aria ‘Majestica’  (Variety of Whitebeam)

The trees should be planted this planting season between November 2020 and March 2021 with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2.5m.
