Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Sycamore tree approximately 15m in height, situated at the bottom right-hand corner of the access road in front of the block adjacent to Kingswood Drive.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T2.          A twin-stemmed Sycamore tree approximately 18m in height situated on the side boundary with Carlton Court, 32 Kingswood Drive at the far end of the access road.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading towards the corner of the block.

T3.          A Hornbeam tree approximately 15m in height, situated at the rear of the block close to the boundary with Carlton Place, 32 Kingswood Drive and close to the communal drying area.  The tree is a little wide spreading towards the building.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Crown thin by 25% including the removal of dead wood and necessary removal of selected stems by severing at the main trunk to provide a more open canopy.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T2.          Crown thin by 25% including the removal of dead wood and necessary trimming back of branches encroaching towards the building.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.  Ivy at the base of the tree is to be severed.

T3.          Crown thin by 25% including the removal of dead wood and necessary trimming back of branches encroaching towards the building.  The height, balance and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
