Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

A False Acacia tree approximately 12m in height, situated in the front left-hand corner of the garden adjacent to the corner of Herne Hill and Carver Road.  The tree appears to be in poor health and condition with significant dieback in the crown.

Description of Approved Works

Remove and the stump either ground out or poisoned, because of its location on high ground and close proximity to the road junction it could be deemed hazardous.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a very prominent nearby location and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Fagus sylvatica ‘Purpurea’           (Purple Beech)

Robinia pseudoacacia                  (False Acacia)

Aesculus x carnea                         (Crimson Horse Chestnut)
