Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

Tree ID 4800      A Hornbeam tree approximately 8m in height, situated in the rear garden.  The tree is causing damage to an adjacent communal retaining wall.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 4800      Remove to ground level.  Sectional dismantle to ground level.  All arisings to be removed from site.

Details of Replacement Required

None.  A replacement is not required due to the nature of site and proximity to retaining wall.

Should a replacement tree be desired, it is essential that it planted 1m away from the retaining wall boundary, with 300mm deep ribbed root barrier installed as part of the tree installation on the side facing the retaining wall.  The recommendations are as follows:

Tamarix tetandra           

Olea europaea                (Olive tree)

Sorbus intermedia          (Swedish Whitebeam) This tree would need to be maintained as it gets a little larger than the other 2]
