Species and Location of Trees

Tree ID 5037      A row of 8 x Leyland Cypress tree approximately 7.8m in height, situated in the front garden.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 5037      Fell to ground level and stump grind.

Details of Replacement Required

 

• Soil improvement works will be required in advance of any replacement planting due to the impact of the existing Leylandii. This should consist of the addition of organic matter and enriched bio-char (such as that sold by Carbon-Gold).

Either:

• The creation of a mixed native deciduous hedge consisting of species such as Hawthorn, field maple & Holly. [to be installed as “feathered” stock.]

Or

• 8 x Pleached trees such as:

Tilia x euchlora –                                          (Caucasian lime)

Liquidambar styraciflua ‘Worplesdon’ –  (Worplesdon sweet gum)

Ilex castaneifolia –                                       (Chestnut-leaved Holly)
