Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

Tree ID 8613      An Ash tree approximately 19m in height, situated on the right-hand boundary of the rear garden.

                                        Observations:

  • Recent Failure:One lateral branch growing in a southerly direction recently failed and has been removed.

  • Structural Defects:A low, easterly-extending branch growing over the garden exhibits a significant hazard beam crack, presenting a failure risk.

  • Ivy Cover:Heavy ivy growth covers the main stem, obstructing a full visual inspection of the upper stems.

  • Ownership/Boundary Note:A new fence has recently been installed around the base of the tree. The exact boundary line is unclear; ownership of the tree must be verified before any works proceed.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 8163             Sectional Removal: Carefully remove the damaged low-lateral limb exhibiting the hazard beam crack to mitigate safety risks.

Ivy Severance & Clearance: Remove ivy growth from the main stem and upper crown to allow for a thorough inspection of the stem and critical branch junctions for hidden structural defects.
