Species and Location of Trees

Tree ID 8481     An unknown stump approximately 1m in height, situated on the far right-hand boundary of the rear garden.

Tree ID 8482     A Yew tree approximately 3.5m in height, situated on the right-hand side of the rear garden.  The tree requires re-shaping.

Tree ID 8483     A Cherry tree approximately 8.5m in height, situated in the front garden on the pavement boundary (southern side).  The tree is dead.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 8481     Remove.

Tree ID 8482     Reduce height by up to 1m, res-shaping for a natural form.

Tree ID8483      Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of Tree ID:8483, a replacement tree is to be planted in a suitable and convenient location within the front garden.  The following three species are suggested for consideration:

Amelanchier canadensis                (Juneberry)

Prunus sargentii                              (Pink flowering Cherry)

Malus trilobata                               (Lebanese Crab Apple)

The replacement tree is to be planted during the October 2026 to March 2027 planting season, with a stem girth of between 8–12 cm measured at 1 m above ground level and a minimum overall height of 2.5 m. The new tree should be securely supported with a suitable stake and tie to prevent wind-rock while the root system becomes established.  Regular watering will be required during the first two growing seasons, particularly from April to September. Ideally, a 75-litre tree watering bag should be used to ensure adequate and consistent watering.  If the replacement tree dies or becomes seriously diseased within five years of planting, it must be replaced with a new tree of the same specification.
