Proposal:

Species and Location of Tree

T1.          A Cypress tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.  The tree is badly sited between two more important Holm Oak trees.

T2.          Two Hawthorn trees approximately 9m and 6m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.  Both trees are poor specimens completely covered in Ivy.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the stump ground out which will allow the Holm Oaks to develop properly.

T2.          Remove and the stumps ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removals of (T2) above, two replacement trees are to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the four alternative species for consideration:

Sorbus aria ‘Majestica’  (Variety of Whitebeam)

Betula jacquemontii       (Silver Birch)

Koelreuteria paniculata (Pride of India)

Gleditscia ‘Sunburst’      (Yellow Honey Locust)

The trees should be planted with a stem girth of 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.
