Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.    A Purple Plum tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated in a central location towards the bottom of the rear garden.

T2.    A dead tree (possibly a Sycamore tree) approximately 12m in height, situated close to T1 in the rear garden.

T3.    A Copper Beech tree approximately 15m in height, situated in the front garden.

T4.    Several small self-sown saplings throughout the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.    Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and water shoots, and necessary shortening of long lateral branches by up to 20% to provide a more compact specimen.

T2.     Remove.

T3.     Branches encroaching towards the house to be trimmed back by up to 15% to provide a clearance of 1.5m from the house, together with the removal of dead wood.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points.

T4.     Saplings with a stem diameter less than 50mm (2â€) at 1m above ground level may be grubbed out.
