Species and Location of Trees
Tree ID 6678 A Cherry tree approximately 3m in height, situated in the rear garden near central. The tree is dead.
Tree ID 6679 A Silver Wattle tree approximately 3m in height, situated in the rear garden on the mid left-hand side.
Tree ID 6680 A Leyland Cypress tree approximately 10m in height, situated in the rear garden on the far boundary. The tree is showing significant dieback.
Description of Approved Works
Tree ID 6678 Remove.
Tree ID 6679 Reduce in height to 2m to encourage new healthy growth next year.
Tree ID 6680 To either reduce in height by up to 2m and trim brown face carefully (then monitor for new growth next year) or remove.
Details of Replacement Required
Tree ID 6678 None. The garden is well stocked with trees.
Tree ID 6680 As a condition if the hedge ID:6680 is removed , a replacement screen is to be planted in the rear garden, below are a selection of three alternative evergreen species for consideration:
Bamboo (numerous suitable varieties) – contained in a raised bed the number required will depend on rootball size.
Ligustrum lucidum (Chinese Privet) x6 (planted either as pleached or standard form).
Magnolia grandiflora (evergreen glossy leaved Magnolia) x6 (Planted as pleached or standard form)
The new evergreen hedge should be planted during the October 2025 and March 2026 planting season with a minimum height of 2.5m.
