Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T2.         A Yew tree approximately 14m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary adjacent to the flank wall on the right-hand side of the property.  Roots have been located in trial holes thereby implicating the tree to the structural movement.

T3.         A False Acacia approximately 16m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary adjacent to the flank wall on the right-hand side of the property.  There is decay and dieback in the crown therefore with medium amenity value.  Roots have been located in trial holes thereby implicating the tree to the structural movement.

TG1.      A group of semi-mature Thuja shrubs/trees approximately 3m in height, situated close to the right-hand side boundary adjacent to the flank wall on the right-hand side of the property.  Roots have been located in trial holes thereby implicating the specie to the structural movement.

Description of Approved Works

T2.         Remove and the stump poisoned.

T3.         Remove and the stump poisoned.

TG1.      Fell at ground level.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removals of the above, two replacement trees are to be planted in convenient locations and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Betula jacquemontii                     (Silver Birch)

Ginkgo biloba                                (Maidenhair tree)

Liqidambar styraciflua                 (Sweet gum of N America)

The trees should be planted this planting season between November 2020 and March 2021 with a stem girth of between 16-18cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.
