Species and Location of Tree

An Oak tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the front garden.  The tree is in decline.

Description of Approved Works

Remove and the stump ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a suitable location of the front garden and below are the three-alternative species for consideration:

Carpinus betulus                       (Hornbeam)

Liquidambar styraciflua             (Sweet Gum of N America)

Robinia pseudoacacia               (False Acacia)

The tree should be planted with a stem girth of between 18-20cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 4m.
