Proposal:

Species and Location of Tree

An Indian Chestnut tree approximately 16m in height, situated close to the left-hand side boundary adjacent to Ryecotes Mead.  The tree has a deep hollow within the main trunk.

Description of Approved Works

Remove together with the stump and roots also to be removed.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, two replacement trees are to be planted in convenient locations near the front boundary with Dulwich Common and below one of the following species are recommended as suitable:

Tilia euchlora                   (Lime (non-drip))

Aesculus x carnea           (Red Chestnut)

Fagus sylvatica                 (Beech)

 

The trees should be planted with a stem girth of between 20-22cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 4m.
