Species and Location of Trees
Tree ID 6371 A Wild Cherry Plum tree approximately 7m in height, situated in the front garden. The tree is infected with hoof bracket.
Tree ID 6372 A Cherry tree, situated in the front garden. The tree is dead.
Tree ID 8157 A Cabbage Palm tree approximately 4m in height, situated in the front garden. The tree has stem decay.
Tree ID 8158 A Leyland Cypress tree approximately 10.7m in height, situated in the front garden.
Description of Approved Works
Tree ID 6371 Fell to ground level. Stump grind up to 10cm below ground level no wider than 30cm circumference around stem.
Tree ID 6372 Fell to ground level stump grinding permitted.
Tree ID 8157 Fell to ground level. No stump grinding.
Tree ID 8158 Fell to ground level stump grinding permitted.
Details of Replacement Required
Replacement trees are not required for Tree ID 6372 and Tree ID 8157.
As a condition of the removal of Tree ID 6371 above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Corylus colurna “Te Terra Red” (Red Turkish Hazel (single stem))
Crataegus x lavallei Carrierei (Lavallei carrierei Hawthorn)
Ilex x Nellie Stevens – (Nellie Stevens Holly)
As a condition of the removal of Tree ID 8158 above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Davidia involucrate (Dove tree)
Liriodendron tulipifera “Aureomarginatum” (variegated Tulip tree)
Aesculus hippocastanum “Baumannii” (Baumann’s Horse Chestnut)
The new Trees are to be procured in line with BS3936 [1992] – ‘standard’ (8-10cm stem circumference). The trees are to be planted during the October 2026 and March 2027 planting season.
