Specie and Location of Tree
Tree ID 8517 A Silver Birch tree approximately 10m in height, situated in the rear garden on the near right-hand side by the pavement. The tree is sparse in leaf and dead wood prevalent.
Description of Approved Works
Tree ID 8517 Remove.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removal of Tree ID:8517, a replacement tree is to be planted in a suitable and convenient location within the rear garden. The following three species are suggested for consideration:
Prunus padus (Bird Cherry)
Malus Royalty (Upright Crab Apple)
Arbutus unedo (Strawberry tree)
The replacement tree is to be planted during the November 2026 to April 2027 planting season, with a stem girth of 10–12 cm measured at 1 m above ground level and a minimum overall height of 2.5 m. The new tree should be securely supported with a suitable stake and tie to prevent wind-rock while the root system becomes established. Regular watering will be required during the first two growing seasons, particularly from April to September. Ideally, a 75-litre tree watering bag should be used to ensure adequate and consistent watering. If the replacement tree dies or becomes seriously diseased within five years of planting, it must be replaced with a new tree of the same specification.
