Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A Japanese Cedar tree (Cryptomeria japonica) approximately 12m in height, situated in the centre of the small front garden.  The tree is too large for its location.

T2.         A small Holly tree approximately 5m in height, situated close to the front of the house on the right-hand side boundary.  The tree is badly sited.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Remove and the stump ground out.

T2.         Remove and the roots grubbed out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Arbutus unedo                (Strawberry tree)

Laburnun x vossii            (Golden Chain)

Magnolia soulangeana  (Magnolia)

The new tree should be planted this planting season between November and March with a 12-14cm girth at 1m above ground level and a minimum height of 2.5m.
