Species and Location of Trees

Tree ID 7626      A Bay Laurel tree approximately 6.8m in height, situated in the rear garden.

Tree ID 7627      A Holly tree approximately 5m in height, situated in the front garden,

Tree ID 7628      A Chilworth Silver Lawsons Cypress tree approximately 3.5m in height, situated in the front garden.  The tree is in decline.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 7626      Reduce back to previous reduction points (re-pollard).  Approximately 1.5m in height, down to 5m above ground level.

Perpetual licence For cyclical Management as pollard. Review in 2032

Tree ID 7627      Specification: Reduce in height to approximately 4m (in line with top of adjacent lamp column) and reduce side canopy by up to 50cm back to closest growth point to reshape. (Ovoid crown).

Perpetual licence to manage tree in new size and shape. Review in 2032

Tree ID 7628      Fell tree.  Stump grinding permitted.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of Tree ID 7628 above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Cercis ‘Chinensis Avondale’          (Avondale judas tree (multistem)

Hibiscus x Resi                               (Hibiscus)

Ginkgo biloba ‘Globosa’               (Globe maidenhair)

Replacement tree Required by March 2027 – Property subject to historic subsidence [Low water demand tree advised].

Tree to be procured in line with BS3936 [1992] – ‘standard’ (8-10cm stem circumference)
