Court Lane, 124

Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          Three Lime trees situated on the front boundary, and one similar Lime tree on the right-hand side boundary, approximately 4m in height.  The trees are a little dense.

T2.          A Silver Birch tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense.

T3.          A Wild Plum tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary a little further down the rear garden than T2 above.  The tree is a little dense and leaning into the garden at a fairly acute angle.

T4.          A Yew tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the right-hand side of a group of over mature trees situated across the middle of the rear garden.  The tree is a little tall.

T5.          A Wild Plum tree approximately 12m in height, is beginning to impinge on the adjacent Yew trees approximately 6m in height, which provide a symmetrical design and should therefore be reinstated as such.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Re-pollard at previous growth points approximately 3m above ground level including the removal of dead wood and necessary lifting of low branches over the public footpath.

T2.          Crown thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T3.          Crown thin by 25% including the removal of dead wood and necessary cutting back of the branches on the leaning side in order to help redress the balance.

T4.          Reduce in height by 25% and re-shape as necessary.

T5.          The Wild Plum tree to be reduced in density by 30% including the removal of several large boughs which restrict the growth of the Yews, together with the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.
