Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          Two mature Weeping Willow trees approximately 16m and 18m in height, situated in the rear garden.  One in the bottom right-hand corner (16m) and one half-way down the left-hand side boundary (18m).  Both trees are a little tall and dense.

T2.          A Sycamore tree approximately 12m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide-spreading.

T3.          A multi-stemmed Bay tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the front garden.  The tree is very dense and tall.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Crown thin by 30% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches, and necessary shaping of the tree.  The height may be reduced by up to 30% by removing the vertical growth in the upper crown whilst retaining the natural weeping shape.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T2.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches, and necessary shortening of long lateral branches particularly towards the house.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T3.          Reduce in height by up to 50% and crown thin by up to 50% and crown thin by 20%, including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  Again, it is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.
