Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

Tree ID 8083      An Ash tree approximately 22m in height, situated in the rear garden.  Large limb failure into neighbouring property.  The tree has latter stages of ash die back and extensive deadwood in the canopy.

Tree ID 8084      An English Elm tree approximately 7m in height, situated in the rear garden. The tree is dead.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 8083      Option 1        Fell to ground level and treat with systemic herbicide (Eco-plug)

    Option 2       Veteranize tree, by creating monolith structure to approx. 5m above ground level. (MEWP advised).

Tree ID 8084      Fell to ground level and treat with systemic herbicide. (eco-plug).

Details of Replacement Required

Option 1             As a condition of the removal of Tree ID 8083 above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

 

Liriodendron tulipifera “fastigiatum”       (Fastigiate Tulip tree)

Tilia tormentosa “Petiolaris”                     (Weeping silver lime)

Ulmus lutece                                                 (Nanguen Elm)

Replacement tree required: - (to be completed by March 2027)

Tree to be procured in line with BS3936 [1992] – ‘standard’ (8-10cm stem circumference)

Option 2             No replacement required.
