Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

Tree ID 7036      A Crab Apple tree approximately 6.5m in height, situated in the front garden in the left-hand corner near the pavement.  The crown and stem are showing dieback and decay and one large limb has recently failed.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 7036      Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a suitable location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Sorbus aucuparia                                          (Rowan)

Magnolia ‘Heaven Scent’                           (Fragrant Flowering Magnolia)

Prunus x subhirtella ‘Autumnalis’              (Winter Flowering Cherry)

The replacement tree should be planted during the October 2025 – March 2026 planting season. It should have a stem girth of 10–14 cm measured at 1-1.5 m above ground level and a minimum overall height of 1.8 m at the time of planting.
