Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          Two mature Lime trees approximately 12m and 5m in height, situated on the front boundary with Calton Avenue.  The trees are a little tall.

T2.          An Oak tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the front boundary with Calton Avenue.  The tree is a little dense.

T3.          An Oak sapling approximately 5m in height, situated close to (T2) above.

T4.          A Sycamore tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary close to the shed.  The tree is a poor specimen and badly sited.

T5.          A Cherry tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the front boundary close to the garage.  The tree is a little dense.

T6.          A Bay tree approximately 4m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is close to the house.

T7.          A Holm Oak tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is badly sited and is dying.

T8.          A Sycamore tree approximately 9m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.

T9.          A Hazel tree approximately 5m in height, situated at the bottom of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Reduce in height to approximately 3.5m.

T2.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T3.          Remove as it is too close to the mature Oak (T2).

T4.          Remove

T5.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and Ivy, together with the lifting of low branches to approximately 3m.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T6.          Remove and the roots should be removed where possible.

T7.          Remove and the roots grubbed out or poisoned.

T8.          Remove and the roots grubbed out or poisoned.

T9.          Coppice as before.

Details of Replacement Required

The garden is to be re-landscaped and a minimum of six new trees are to be planted.
