Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.       A Chusan Palm tree approximately 5m in height, situated in the front garden on the right-hand side boundary.

T2.       Two Cypress trees approximately 5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.                  The trees are badly sited.

T3.       An Indian Beam tree approximately 2m in height, situated close to the Cypress trees (T2).  The tree is a poor              specimen with an acute lean.

T4.       A Sorbus tree approximately 5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.

T5.       A triple-stemmed Bay tree approximately 3m in height, situated to the rear of (T4).  The tree is badly sited.

T6.       A Mulberry tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.                    The tree should be retained in its present form.

T7.       A New Zealand Cabbage tree situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.       Remove.

T2.       Remove.

T4.       Remove.

T5.       Remove.

T6.       No works permitted.

T7.       Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.       As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted close to the front boundary                 with Calton Avenue and below are the three-alternative species for consideration:

                  Amelanchier lamarckii           (Snowy Mespilus)

                  Parrotia persica                    (Witch Hazel (fam))

                  Laburnum x vossii                 (Golden Rain)

Removal of the trees is permitted on the understanding that at least six new trees will be planted as part of the new landscape layout.
