Species and Location of Trees

Tree ID 5044      A Pear tree approximately 10m in height, situated centrally at the far end of the rear garden.  Severe allergic reactions to the blossom haves made retention untenable.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 5044      Remove.  Subject to the mandatory planting of a high-quality replacement.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Olive tree          

Girth 39cm at 1.5m above ground, minimum planted height of 1.8m.

Pine Tree                          (Maritime Pine)

Girth 36cm at 1.5m from ground level, minimum planted height of 3m.

Malus trilobata                (maple leaved Crab Apple

Minimum girth of 12-14cm at 1.5m from ground level and 3m in height.)

The new tree should be planted before of end of April 2026.  To ensure the new tree thrives, it must be supported with a suitable stake to prevent "wind-rock" while the roots establish.  The tree will require regular watering during the first two growing seasons, specifically from April to September. Please note that if the tree dies or becomes diseased within five years of planting, it must be replaced with a new specimen of the same specification
