Species and Location of Trees

The following trees are recommended for removal:

T2.          A Yew tree on the front boundary.

T3.          A Yew tree approximately 9m in height.

T5.          An Oak tree approximately 26m in height.

T6.          A Sycamore tree approximately 13m in height.

T10.        A Sycamore tree.

T11.        A Lime tree approximately 23m in height.

T14.        A Sycamore tree.

T20.        A Sycamore tree.

T29.        A Lime tree approximately 16m in height.

T30.        An Oak tree approximately 23m in height.

T32.        A Sycamore tree.

T36.        A Sycamore tree.

T37.        A Beech tree.

Description of Approved Works

T2.          Remove.

T3.          Remove all dead wood in the upper crown and reduce height by approximately 2m to live wood.  To be carried out within 12 months.

T5.          Remove all dead wood.  To be carried out within 12 months.

T6.          All broken branches and dead wood to be removed.  To be carried out within 3 months.

T10.        Remove.

T11.        Height reduction of up to 5m, together with low growing lateral branches shortened by up to 2m in order to balance the tree.  To be carried out within 3 months.

T14.        Remove.

T20.        Remove.

T29.        Remove dead stem on the southern side.  To be carried out within 12 months.

T30.        Remove all dead wood.  To be carried out within 3 months.

T32.        Remove.

T36.        Remove.

T37.        Remove.

T41.        Reduce long lateral branches by 2-3m, particularly where overhanging the road, together with removal of all dead wood.  To be carried out within 3 months.

Details of Replacement Required

T2.          As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location on the front boundary and below are the three-alternative species for consideration:

Liquidambar styraciflua                

Gingko biloba                                    

Carpinus betulus ‘Fastigiata        

Further replacement trees are not required as the area is basically a woodland with numerous mature trees.
