Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

Tree ID 8200      A Silver Birch tree approximately 8m in height, situated on the far left-hand side of the rear garden.  The tree is dead.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 8200      Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above Tree ID 8200 a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location in the rear garden, below are a selection of three small alternative species for consideration:

Prunus ‘Pandora’             (Small pink flowering Cherry)

Prunus ‘Amanogawa’ (   (Flagpole Cherry)

Malus toringo                  (Japanese Crab Apple)

The new tree should be planted during the October 2026 and March 2027 planting season with a stem girth of between 10-12cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2m.

To ensure the new tree thrives, it must be supported with a suitable stake to prevent "wind-rock" while the roots establish.  The tree will require regular watering during the first two growing seasons (ideally using a 75-litre capacity tree watering bag), specifically from April to September. Please note that if the tree dies or becomes diseased within five years of planting, it must be replaced with a new specimen of the same specification.
