Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          4 Lime trees approximately 6m in height, situated on the front boundary with Alleyn Road to the right-hand side of the entrance.

T2.          A Lime tree approximately 10m in height, situated in the front left-hand corner adjacent to Alleyn Road.  The tree is a little dense.

T3.          A Sycamore tree approximately 12m in height situated close to the house on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T4.          2 Lime trees approximately 12m in height situated on the bottom boundary of the rear garden with South Croxted Road.  The trees are a little dense.

T5.          A Cypress hedge approximately 3 to 4m in height, situated along the bottom boundary of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Re-pollard at previous pruning points 4m from ground level including the removal of any dead wood.

T2.          Lightly thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T3.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary shortening of branches encroaching towards the rear corner of the neighbouring property.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T4.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of all dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  Low branches from one of the trees encroaching over the road should be lifted to provide a minimum clearance of 6m over the road and 2.5m over the pavement.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T5.          The hedge should be topped to encourage new growth and the sides clipped back where necessary.
