Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

Tree ID 7104      A London Plane tree approximately 20m in height, situated on the far left-hand side of the rear garden.  The canopy exhibits dense regrowth indicative of the previous heavy crown reduction performed approximately 10 years ago.

Description of Approved Works

Tree ID 7104      The crown to be thinned by up to 25%, the height and basic shape must be retained.  Pruning should be targeted at suitable growth points/branch junctions.

Optional Supplementary Support Recommendation

The installation of a Dynamic Bracing System is recommended as an optional, proactive measure but is not mandatory for the current stage.

A non-invasive, dynamic (flexible) bracing system could be installed to provide supplementary support to the main structure. The brace would be positioned at an approximate height of 10 metres. It would connect the stem displaying a visible cavity (likely from an ancient wound) with the adjacent largest diameter stem.
