Proposal:

Species and Location of Tree

A Spruce tree approximately 18m in height, situated on the centre of the front garden.  The tree is too large for its location. Close to the house, it also has a slight lean.

Description of Approved Works

Remove and the stump ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, two replacement trees are to be planted in a close to the front boundary and below are the alternative species for consideration:

Aesculus x carnea             (Red Horse Chestnut)

Koelreateria paniculata  (Pride of India)

Sorbus aria ‘Majestica’  (Variety of Whitebeam)

Parrotia persica                 (Hamamelis family)

Sophora japonica             (Japanese Pagoda tree)

Davidia involucrate          (Pocket Handkerchief tree)

The trees should be planted with a stem girth of between 20-22cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 4m (depending on the specie chosen)
