Specie and Location of Tree
Tree ID 6024 A Horse Chestnut tree approximately 13m in height, situated in the rear garden central on the far boundary. The tree is in decline with sparse leaf, deadwood and main stem showing decay and loose bark.
Description of Approved Works
Tree ID 6024 Remove.
Details of Replacement Required
As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:
Pyrus Beurre Hardy (Fruiting pear as fruit trees in garden)
Pyrus calleryana Chanticleer (Ornamental pear with exceptional flower and Autumn colour.)
Pyrus calleryana Redspire (Ornamental pear with a more columnar shape and great Autumn colour.)
The new tree should be planted during the October 2025 and March 2026 planting season with a stem girth of between 12-14cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
