Alleyn Park, 10

Proposal:

Species and Location of Tree

A Horse Chestnut tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the front boundary with Alleyn Park.  The tree is a little dense and low growing.

Description of Approved Works

Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood, and necessary lifting of low branches to provide a minimum clearance of 3m over the footpath and 6m over the road.  Light from a streetlamp is also restricted by foliage and this should be cut back as necessary.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
