Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A group of Bay trees approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the front garden close to the front boundary with Dulwich Village.  The trees are a little dense and out of shape.

T2.          An Oak tree approximately 10m in height, situated close to the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.

T3.          A Silver Maple tree approximately 12m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little tall and dense.

T4.          A Field Maple tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated towards the bottom of the rear garden on the left-hand side boundary.  The tree is a little close to two more important Beech trees.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          The tree group is to be crown thinned by 20% including the removal of selected base growth stems and any dead wood, together with necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T2.          Removal of low growing branches up to 4m above ground level by pruning at the main trunk together with the removal of any dead wood.

T3.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of one low branch near the base and necessary re-shaping.  The height may be reduced by up to 3m by removing selected stems at convenient growth points where possible.

T4.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height may also be reduced by up to 3m by pruning at convenient growth points where possible, alternatively the tree may be removed by felling at ground level.
