Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Silver Birch tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated in the front-left hand corner of the garden adjacent to Burbage Road.  The tree is a little dense and low growing.

T2.          A Wild Plum tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated close to the house on the left-hand side boundary of the front garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T3.          A Cotoneaster tree approximately 5m in height, situated close to the conservatory on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.

T4.          A Weeping Willow tree approximately 10m in height, situated towards the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little tall and dense.

T5.          A twin stemmed Sycamore tree approximately 15m in height, situated close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden. 

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Crown thin by 15% including the removal of any dead wood and water shoots, lifting of low branches over the footpath to provide a clearance of 2.5m from ground level, and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T2.          Crown thin by 20% including the trimming back from the house.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T3.          Lightly thin by 10% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.

T4.          Crown thin by approximately 30% including the removal of dead wood, lifting of low branches, and the necessary shaping of the tree.  The height may be reduced by up to 30% by removing the vertical growth in the upper crown whilst retaining the natural weeping shape, it is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T5.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and one low growing branch over the adjacent garden, and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.
