Alleyn Park, 10

Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

A Horse Chestnut tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the front boundary with Alleyn Park to the right of the access drive.  The tree is leaning at an acute angle into the garden, there is also evidence of decay in one of the main boughs.

Description of Approved Works

Remove the decayed and low growing bough encroaching into the garden, together with crown thinning by 25% on the leaning side in order to try and redress the balance, also to include the removal of dead wood and necessary trimming back from an adjacent street lamp.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.
